Characteristic Functions and Joint Invariant Subspaces
Let T := [T1, . . . , Tn] be an n-tuple of operators on a Hilbert space such that T is a completely non-coisometric row contraction. We establish the existence of a “one-toone” correspondence between the joint invariant subspaces under T1, . . . , Tn, and the regular factorizations of the characteristic function ΘT associated with T . In particular, we prove that there is a non-trivial joint in...
متن کاملSmooth Functions in Star-invariant Subspaces
In this note we summarize some necessary and sufficient conditions for subspaces invariant with respect to the backward shift to contain smooth functions. We also discuss smoothness of moduli of functions in such subspaces.

متن کاملCarleson and Vanishing Carleson Measures on Radial Trees
We extend a discrete version of an extension of Carleson’s theorem proved in [5] to a large class of trees T that have certain radial properties. We introduce the geometric notion of s-vanishing Carleson measure on such a tree T (with s ≥ 1) and give several characterizations of such measures. Given a measure σ on T and p ≥ 1, let Lp(σ) denote the space of functions g defined on T such that |g|...
متن کاملInvariant Subspaces, Quasi-invariant Subspaces, and Hankel Operators
In this paper, using the theory of Hilbert modules we study invariant subspaces of the Bergman spaces on bounded symmetric domains and quasi-invariant sub-spaces of the Segal–Bargmann spaces. We completely characterize small Hankel operators with finite rank on these spaces.
